Female-Led NFT Projects

Women are increasingly stepping up to the forefront of the NFT industry and creating projects that are gaining mainstream attention and generating millions of dollars. One example is the World of Women (WoW) NFT project, which was launched by an 13-year-old girl and has already generated over $4 million. Another is the Boss Beauties NFT project, which is a collection of 10,000 unique and strong women created by Lisa Mayer and has been one of the top trending NFT collections on OpenSea. A third prominent female-led NFT project is the WomenRise collection, which is a collection of 10,000 unique pieces of artwork based on 453 hand-drawn traits that celebrate and present women scientists, activists, artists, coders, and more. The project was created by the 26-year-old artist, author, and activist @Maliha_z_art and has a mission to educate and empower the next generation of women and girls.

All of these female-led NFT projects have been incredibly successful and are impacting the industry in a positive way. Not only are they generating millions of dollars, but they are also donating to charitable causes, helping to increase diversity and inclusivity in the NFT and web3 space, and educating and onboarding the next generation of creators, artists, and developers. Additionally, the WomenRise NFT project is also working towards building the first school in the metaverse for the 258 million children around the world who have no access to education. This is a clear example of how female-led NFT projects are shaping the industry and creating a more equal and inclusive space for everyone.

These success stories are inspiring, but we at ThreeSpaces want to continue supporting the underrepresented communities and other female-led NFT projects emerging in the space. Despite the success of a few projects, female-led projects continue to be less than 20% of the overall market share in the NFT community. This inequality is what we are trying to address with our curated catalog of artists. We deeply support the projects listed above (I personally have bought pieces in a few of those collections), but continue to seek out and identify more creators that are trying to get a voice and exposure in this growing ecosystem.
